A madrasa student named Mohammad Ali alias Nirav (8) was killed after being hit by an easybike in Chuadanga. He was a second class student of Noorani section of Gopalpur Darul Uloom Qaumi Madrasa in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga.
He died while undergoing treatment at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Friday (September 23) around 7 pm. Earlier in the afternoon, he was injured by an easy bike while crossing the road in front of the madrasa. Locals rescued him and admitted him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
The deceased Mohammad Ali alias Nirav is the son of Sadek Ali of Dakatiya village of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district.
Mehdi Hasan, cousin of the deceased Nirav, the same madrasa student, said that Nirav was returning to the madrasa after having lunch from a house in Gopalpur village. At that time, a speeding easybike hit him while crossing the road. He was seriously injured. He was rescued and admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Nirav died while undergoing treatment there.
Uppala Biswas, the doctor on duty at Sadar Hospital’s emergency department, said that Madrasa student Nirav came to the emergency department after being hit by an easy bike in the afternoon. He had serious injuries in various parts of his body. As his condition was critical, he was being treated in a room next to the emergency department. He died around 7 pm.
Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahabbur Rahman said Nirav’s body has been kept at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Legal matters are pending in that incident.
