IT services giant HCLTech said in its fourth-quarter earnings call on Friday that it will follow a similar hiring plan as last year and has set a target of adding more than 10,000 fresh graduates in FY25.

The company added 3,096 net new graduates in the fourth quarter. Throughout fiscal year 2024, HCLTech added 12,141 new students. The company’s total headcount in the fourth quarter was 227,481.

“In the coming year, we expect the same hiring trajectory to follow, with our planned hiring numbers likely to exceed 10,000 – as the new additions for FY25 mean we will continue to provide our updated hiring along with our campus plans. plan,” he added.

Sundararajan said the spreads for new additions this quarter will be made quarterly based on demand.

The employee turnover rate in the fourth quarter was 12.4%, down from 12.8% in the previous quarter.

Regarding contract hiring, the company said it plans to focus more on meeting demand through internal fulfillment and will only seek contract fulfillment when needed.

“Contract hires are always very strategic in that we strategically request hire contracts based on how the demand is met internally and may not fill the contract,” says Sundararajan. .

He added that the company’s contract fulfillment demand declined in FY24.

“Looking ahead to FY25, our focus will be more on in-house capability and we will build capacity for it and invest in our skills to deliver it so contract staffing will be strategic in nature and it will fill needs that we cannot fill internally. ,” she added.
