The two who opened fire were caught by the police. Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta were arrested in Bhuj, Gujarat. The notorious Bishnoi gang has accepted the responsibility of the whole incident. Immediately after the incident, the investigation started in Mumbai. This time the investigation went one step further. According to sources, the two gunmen are being interrogated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, two men named Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan armed the gunmen. They are also known to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to the gunners, they were ordered to fire ten rounds. After that they threw the gun in Tapi river in Surat. It is reported that the Mumbai Crime Branch recovered a gun and some cartridges from Tapi river. The search for the other gun is in full swing.

It has been reported that after the shooting, the actor has left his flat in Bandra and has arranged to live in his farmhouse near Panvel.
