A traffic inspector named Ruhul Amin died while on duty at Sonamsjid land port in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj. Ruhul Amin is the son of Sharsha Korban Ali of Benapole Municipality, Jessore. Ruhul Amin served as Traffic Inspector at Sonamsjid Land Port under the Bangladesh Land Port Authority of the Ministry of Shipping. Shibganj police station OC Sajjad Hossain confirmed the matter on Thursday afternoon. Deceased Ruhul Amin is the son of Sharsha Korban Ali of Benapole Municipality, Jessore. Sajjad Hossain, OC of Shibganj police station, said that after inspecting the truck in Panama Port Link Limited of Sonamsjid land port, Ruhul Amin fell ill after returning to his office at 1:15 in the afternoon. Colleagues quickly took him to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead. Chapainawabganj civil surgeon SM Mahmudur Rashid said that traffic inspector Ruhul Amin died before he was brought to the upazila health complex. Those who brought him to the hospital said he was thirsty and wanted to drink water. But it cannot be said with certainty that his death was due to heatstroke. But now that it’s hot, it may have an effect. Also we don’t know about any other previous disease history. So the decision on ‘heatstoke death’ cannot be said now.
