District Awami League Joint Convenor and Noakhali District Judge Shihab Uddin Shaheen said that no lawyer will stand for the accused in the murder case of Tasmia Hossain Adita (14), an eighth grade student of Noakhali Government Girls High School.
Shaheen made this announcement while comforting the family members of the deceased Adita at Lakshminarayanpur area of the district city on Friday afternoon.
At that time, Shaheen said, Aditi, a talented and promising school student of our area, was killed after raping her in a well-planned and cold-hearted manner. The murder is almost uncovered. I spoke to all the current and former leaders of the District Bar Association. Aditi will not appear before any IG Court of Noakhali District Judge Court on behalf of any accused in the murder case. An official announcement will come soon from the Noakhali Bar Association.
He said, I and almost all the senior IGs of our bar will fight in the court for the state/victim to ensure the maximum sentence for the accused. In no way will the accused of this heinous murder be spared.
Meanwhile, Shihab Uddin Shaheen called on the administration to bring the juvenile gang members who have flourished in different areas of the city under the law.
On Thursday evening, Tasnia Hossain Adita was killed by slitting her throat and hands at her home in Laxminarayanpur, Noakhali district town Maijdi. Police recovered the body around 9 pm. Deceased Adita was a class VIII student of Noakhali Government Girls High School and daughter of deceased Riaz Hussain of Abul Khair Peshkar house of Ward No. 3 Laxminarayanpur Mohalla of Noakhali Municipality. His mother is a teacher in a local private school.
