Shishu Ayat went missing on November 15 from the EPZ area of Chittagong. After 10 days on Friday, it was known that Ayat was killed. And the body was cut into six pieces and thrown into the drain in separate bags.

And these descriptions were given by a person named Abir who was accused of kidnapping him. The PBI, the police investigation department in charge of investigating the incident, told BBC Bangla.

However, the police have not yet recovered the body of the dead child Ayat.

PBI Chittagong Metro Region Police Superintendent Naima Sultana said that when Abir was interrogated after his arrest, he confessed to killing Ayat and dumping his body after killing him.

The child named Ayat has been missing since the afternoon of November 15. In this incident, his family members made a general diary at the local police station.

Apart from this, the disappearance of Shishu Ayat is also widely discussed on social media.

Naima Sultana said Ayat’s paternal grandfather came to them after the GD on November 15 and told them that they could not find a child.

Then the PBI started working on the angle as to why the child could not be found. Due to which the whole incident was revealed.

According to PBI, the arrested victim of Abir’s murder was living as a tenant in Ayat’s house.

Originally, he moved in with his father as a tenant in Ayat’s house after his parents separated.

However, he also used to commute to his mother’s house at Nimtala Akmal Ali Road.

How to kill?

Superintendent of Police Naima Sultana explained the incident in detail.

According to the information given by him, on the afternoon of the incident, 25-30 minutes before the Asr prayer, Ayat left the house holding Dada’s hand to go to the madrasa.

However, since he had some time on his hands, Ayat’s grandfather left him to play with some other children in front of the house.

During the police investigation, children who were playing with Ayat at the time said that they saw Ayat climb into the lap of the young man named Abir.

The police then reviewed the CCTV footage to track Abir’s movements. It is seen there, Abir is carrying a bag. The case of murder was revealed only when finding out what was in that bag.

Miz Sultana said that Ayat’s body was actually inside the bag which was being carried by the young man named Abir.

He said that he wanted to kidnap Ayat and collect the ransom. However, because he had no means of keeping the child secret, he killed him on the day of the abduction, i.e. 15th November.

He then packed his body in a bag and took it to his mother’s house on Akmal Ali Road, Nimtala. There the dead body was cut into six pieces and dumped in two separate places.

“The body was cut into six parts, two parts were removed on the morning of the 16th. Today is the 25th. “

After Ayat went missing, posters were put up in the local area to find him

A part of the body was dumped in a seashore drain in the EPZ area. That channel is connected to the sea and the tides ebb there.

And the other part is thrown into the sea.

Miz Sultana said, after such a long time, it becomes difficult to find the pieces of the body. And the body parts in which the polythene bags were thrown are very small in size.

“The child is also small, he is not five years old,” said this PBI police officer.

Miz Sultana said that it was difficult to find the bags due to low tide and their operation was continuing.

According to PBI, the accused Abir had planned such crime after watching Indian television crime shows, Crime Patrol and CID.

“The idea was born in him that ransom could be sought and obtained.”

In this incident, he thought of using a mobile phone and a SIM to collect the ransom. The police said that he had collected that SIM six months ago.

According to PBI, he could not configure or use the mobile phone and SIM that he had because he had not used any mobile phone for the last six months.

Due to which he could not ask for ransom in the end as per the plan.

“His technical knowledge was not strong.”
