National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Moshiur Rahman said, ‘If science is the discovery of truth, then art is the bold expression of truth. The primitive nature of human hunger is its need. But his deepest thoughts or needs are art, literature, creativity, culture and culture. If the society is to be built in the real sense, it is necessary to pay close attention to the arts along with science. This is what makes the human being flourish.’
The Vice-Chancellor said these things in the speech of the honored guest at the drama screening program based on ‘Tale of Compassion and Fear’ at Dhaka University’s Natmandal Auditorium on Friday evening.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Moshiur Rahman also said, ‘As the National University has also taught the history of the development of independent Bangladesh, this university has plans to do more specific work on performing arts in the future.’
