Police have arrested three people including private teacher Roni in connection with the murder of schoolgirl Tasnia Hossain Adita in Noakhali.
Friday (September 23) at noon Police Super. Shahidul Islam gave this information in a press conference at his office.
Roni is the son of Khalil Mia of Lakshmi Narayanpur village of Ward No. 3, Noakhali Municipality. The other two arrested are – Adita’s neighbor Md. Saeed (20) and his younger brother Israfil Alam (14). These are the sons of Aji Ulyah of that village.
The Superintendent of Police said that the victim Adita used to study privately with Roni. Suddenly Adita started studying elsewhere instead of reading privately with him. This made Roni unhappy. Roni’s neck, head, neck were found with fingernail marks. There is evidence that Roni is directly involved in the incident.
In addition, according to the claim of the deceased Adita’s mother Razia Sultana Ruby, their neighbor Md. Saeed and Israfil always harassed Adita in various ways including threatening to rape her. So those two brothers were immediately arrested. A remand application will be made against them in the court.

Meanwhile, the representatives of various civic organizations including students held a human chain and protest rally demanding the arrest and trial of Tasnia Hossain Adita’s killers. In the afternoon, human chain and protest rally was held in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Development organizer Abdul Awal, president of Nari Adhikar Jot Laila Parveen, organizer Munim Faisal, president of Service for Human Being Organization Fahida Sultana, president of Alokita Human Organization, Parvez Mollah etc. spoke at the human chain.
Earlier on Thursday night, the police recovered Tasnia Hossain Adita’s hand veins and cut throat from the house of Abul Khair Peshkar of Laxmi Narayanpur village of Ward No. 3 of Noakhali Municipality.
