The price of gold fell again within a day. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set the price of 1 lakh 13 thousand 560 taka for a 22 carat gold bar, reducing the price by 630 taka.

This information was informed in a circular signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Thursday (April 25). It is said that the new price of gold will be effective from 3:50 pm on Thursday.

According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold per bari (11.664 grams) will be 1 lakh 13 thousand 560 taka. Apart from this, the price of gold has been set at 1 lakh 8 thousand 405 taka per 21 carat, 92 thousand 915 taka per 18 carat and 74 thousand 801 taka per traditional method.

With this, Bajus has adjusted the price of gold 6 times in the country’s market in a span of 8 days. And this April, the price has been adjusted 8 times. Earlier, on April 24 last, Bajus reduced the charge by Tk 2,100 to Tk 1,14,190 in a span of 24 hours. Apart from this, the price of gold is fixed at 1 lakh 9 thousand taka per 21 carat, 93 thousand 429 taka per 18 carat and 75 thousand 209 taka per traditional method.
