Everyone knows the story of the friendship between the film’s film director Ferdous and actress Moushumi. On the other hand, they are also friends with popular actress Rituparna Sengupta of Upper Bengal. But these three were found in one frame after many days.
The two-day mega-heroine ‘Suchitra Sen International Film Festival’ has ended in New York, USA. Bangladesh’s Dhaka-10 Constituency Member of Parliament and many times national film awardee hero Ferdous Ahmed and two popular Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta (goodwill ambassador of the festival) joined the festival as honored guests. Moushumi, the popular actress of Bangladeshi films, was invited as a special guest at the same festival.
The last three friends Ferdous, Moushumi and Rituparna were seen together in 2017. Ta-too is on the shooting sets of the movie ‘A Movie Story’ directed by the living legendary hero, producer, director Alamgir. They were not seen together after that. The three meet on the last day of ‘Suchitra Sen Festival’.
On the last day of the festival, Rituparna (lifetime award) and Ferdous were given ‘Guest of Honour’ awards. More than thirty films of two Bengali films were screened at Satyajit Ray Hall, Zaheer Raihan Hall and Tarek Masud Hall.
Ferdous Ahmed said, many Bengali-speaking viewers came to watch the movie in this two-day festival. Many people waited outside without getting a chance to watch the movie. Everyone’s sincere participation was truly eye-opening. This is a good sign. With the success of the first time festival, it seems that the organizers will be able to do this festival on a bigger scale in the future.
