The country’s Oil Marketing Organizations (OMCs) have decided to reduce commercial gas prices in four Indian cities. New price of 19kg cylinder of commercial gas will be applicable from September 1 in all metro cities. Kolkata has seen the biggest drop in prices. Apart from this, the price of this gas has also been reduced in the capital Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
Earlier, the price of 19 kg of commercial gas in Kolkata was Rs.2095.50. 100 reduced to Rs. 1995.50. Its price in Delhi was Rs 1976.50. The current price has come down to Rs.1885. Apart from this, it has decreased by Rs 92.50 in Mumbai and Rs 96 in Chennai.
Small and big restaurants also use commercial gas for cooking. As a result, the price of food in various restaurants is likely to decrease. A little relief will be seen in the life of ordinary people.
Commercial gas prices have been reduced in India for five consecutive months starting from May. According to the data of May 19, the price of commercial gas was reduced by Rs.2354. Later in June it decreased to Rs.2219. In July it was further reduced to Rs.2012.50. Last month, the price of commercial gas was reduced to Rs 1976.50.
Commercial gas prices have been reduced but there has been no change in domestic cooking gas prices.
