LIC Investments: The largest life insurance company in India is Life Insurance Corporation of India, abbreviated as LIC. LIC reduced stake in some shares

According to the sources, LIC portfolio has reduced the stake from the following 16 state-owned companies, that is, this life insurance company has sold several shares of these companies. These include BHEL, SAIL, Coal India, Oil India, Mahanagar Gas, MOIL, SBI, Canara Bank, HPCL, NMDC Steel, NMDC, Shipping Corporation, IOC, Container Corporation of India, ONGC and NTPC. At the beginning of 2024, the portfolio of Life Insurance Corporation of India consisted of 300 companies whose share prices have increased along with the market value of the portfolio.

Any more shares sold by the company

Apart from the above-mentioned state-owned companies, Tata Power, Vedanta, JSW Energy, Voltas, Tata Motors, L&T etc. have also sold their shares. State-owned enterprises have delivered huge returns in FY 2023-24 and hence the total value of the portfolio has increased by Rs 1.6 lakh crore for LIC.

Some shares are still in LIC’s portfolio

Life Insurance of India’s portfolio (LIC Portfolio) still includes shares of Navin Fluorine, Bata India, Mind Tree, Asian Paints, Apollo Tyres, Patanjali Foods, Infosys, Nestle, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc. LIC also had investments in Adani Ports and Adani Enterprises of the Adani Group. And from this investment in the financial year 2023-24, the income and profit of LIC has been Tk 8900 crore.
