In that Facebook post, Munira Bashir wrote, ‘What should be done? Father will attend the meeting from the grave and give a written opinion? What should be done in this mismanagement of Dhaka University? What should be abused?

‘Prabir Kumar Sarkar has become the new registrar (acting) of Dhaka University, will he be accountable?’

When asked about sending the letter to Murtaza Bashir, acting registrar of DU Prabir Kumar Sarkar told Daily Star, ‘There is nothing to be embarrassed about. The board has not yet sat, there is scope for revision. Besides, the registrar’s office sees everything and gives it to me, I just sign.’

He also said, ‘His (Murtaza Bashir) death could have been reported from the family. Then there would not have been such a mistake.’
