Noakhali school girl killed after rape, arrest 1

Md. Imam Uddin Suman, Noakhali: In Sadar Upazila of Noakhali, after raping a student of class VIII, the miscreants slaughtered her by cutting the veins of her throat and hands and looted the valuables of the house.
The name of the deceased school girl is Tasmia Hossain Aditi (14). She was an eighth grade student of the local Noakhali Government Girls High School and daughter of deceased Riaz Hussain of Ward No. 3, Lakshinarayanpur Mohalla, Noakhali Municipality. His mother is a teacher in a local private school. The incident took place at the student’s home in Lakshinarayanpur area of Ward No. 3 of Noakhali Municipality of Upazila between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Thursday (September 22).
Noakhalil Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Shahidul Islam confirmed this information. He said, the victims are two sisters. The elder sister of deceased Aditi is disabled and the victim is younger sister. The deceased’s mother Razia Sultana is a teacher of Zainal Abedin Memorial Academy of Upazila. The victim’s mother left for school around 7 in the morning as usual and came home around 7 in the evening to find the door locked from outside. The neighboring tenants also couldn’t guess anything as the door was locked as usual. Later, the victim’s mother opened the lock and found the victim’s room closed and started looking for the victim. At one point, the victim’s mother saw through the back window of the house that her daughter was lying on the bed, bloodied and naked.
The SP also said that after breaking the door and entering the house, the mother of the victim found her daughter’s bloodied body lying on the bed. In the preliminary investigation, it is known that the son of the neighbor Nayan. Saeed (20) often used to harass his daughter. He also threatened many times.
In response to another question, the SP said, looking at the overall situation, it appears that the killer alone/with a group had pre-planned to get out of the house, found the victim alone, entered the house, raped the victim and looted the property.
SP said that police, DB, PBI, CID are working jointly in this regard. The main suspect, Md. Saeed (20), was arrested by conducting an immediate operation. Legal matter is pending with further investigation in this regard.
