In Sahebchar of Hossainpur, Kishoreganj, the bodies of three people, including uncle and nephew, who went missing in the boat sinking while visiting the old Brahmaputra river were recovered.

On Wednesday (September 21) around 10:30 in the morning Kishoreganj Fire Service Station Officer Md. Abuzar Giffari confirmed this.

The three who died are – son of Abdus Samad of Charsakhchura village of Pagla police station of Mymensingh district. Sifat (16) and the son of Monir Hossain of the same village. Yashin (7). They are cousins. The other is Shamim Mia (30), son of Kitab Ali of Tarapasha village of Sidla union of Hossainpur upazila.

Abuzar Gifari said that local people saw the bodies of two people floating near Hossainpur Bridge around 6 am on Wednesday. After receiving the information, the police recovered two bodies. Then Shamim’s body was recovered from Namkhail area of ​​Nandail Upazila of Mymensingh district around 8:30 am.

It has been found that like every year, a traditional boating competition was organized on the old Brahmaputra river near Saheberchar village on Monday afternoon. Thousands of people flocked to watch the competition. Two boats sank that day around 6:30 p.m. Three people went missing. The bodies of the missing persons were recovered two days after the incident.
