Meeting to keep prices of daily necessities stable in Bhola
Bhola, September 4, 2022 (BSS) : A special meeting was held in the district today to stabilize the prices of daily necessities. The district administration organized the meeting in the meeting room of the District Commissioner’s office at 11 o’clock. Deputy Commissioner Md Taufiq-e-Lahi Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mamun Al Farooq, Additional Superintendent of Police Asaduzzaman, Tajumuddin Upazila Parishad Chairman Mosharef Hossain Dulal, District Food Controller Sandeep Kumar Das, Bhola Press Club President and Hero Freedom Fighter M Habibur Rahman, Assistant District Consumer Rights Protection Directorate spoke. Director Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Municipal Councilor Md. Shahe Alam, Mithun Molla etc.
In the president’s speech, the Deputy Commissioner said that the rice market has come under control as a result of the sale of rice at the rate of Tk 30 per kg in the government’s open market. Regular market monitoring is being done to keep the commodity prices stable. Various businesses are being fined by the Consumer Protection Department for overcharging. Therefore, the Deputy Commissioner called upon everyone to play a more responsible role in this matter.
