Khulna: Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md. Zillur Rahman Chowdhury said, I don’t want to see more deaths on the road. Order should be brought back on the road.

Irregularities will not be tolerated in any way. Order should be restored on the road through proper planning.

On Wednesday (August 31) at noon at Khulna Circuit House, the president addressed the discussion meeting with the relevant stakeholders to reduce road accidents and maintain order in the road transport sector.

Zillur Rahman Chowdhury said, no more wasting time, but to bring back order to make the road safe, we must be stricter in law enforcement along with the overall development of road management. An awareness campaign should be conducted immediately. If we can ensure safe journey, the number of injured and crippled people in the country will also decrease as the accident rate will decrease. If we want to free the country from the curse like road accidents, we need goodwill first. Above all drivers, owners, workers and passengers should be alert and aware.

The Divisional Commissioner urged all concerned to be sincere in implementing the recommendations of researchers and experts as a way to prevent road accidents.
