50,000 CVs have been submitted in the day-long job fair held at GEC Convention Hall on Thursday to recruit 3,000 salesmen in various organizations.
More than 20,000 job-seeking boys and girls from Chittagong and its surrounding areas have applied for this job, said the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of BdJobs. K. M. Fahim Mashroor.
Fahim Mashroor said, leading companies of the country including Meghna Group, Pran-RFL, Super Star, Pertex Star, Nettle-Niloy, BSRM, SA, KDS, Confidence Cement, GPH Ispat, The Peninsula Chittagong, Delivery Tiger participated in the fair. 20 thousand job aspirants have applied for more than 50 thousand jobs in 70 posts of these institutions. The government’s special program for building digital Bangladesh, A2I and BRAC Skill Development Program has given full support to this job fair.
Prakash Roy Chowdhury, marketing director of the organization, said that our aim is to facilitate the employment of the educated unemployed youth in the remote areas of the country. BdJobs organizes job fairs with leading companies in Chittagong, Khulna, Sylhet and Dhaka. By organizing fairs in different cities of the country, the private sector employment system of the country is somewhat balanced. At the same time, the employer organizations look for regionally qualified and skilled workers. At least 3,000 unemployed boys and girls will get employment in this fair of Chittagong. He also said that currently several lakh people are working as salesmen for various organizations across the country. The consumer goods manufacturing and retail sector in the country is growing very rapidly. Along with this, the demand for field sales force is increasing. But the reality is that despite the large number of unemployed in the country, the number of people interested in working in this sector is less. BdJobs is organizing this fair to connect companies with those interested in working in this sector. In the growing retail sector of the country, consumer goods manufacturers have directly interviewed the interested candidates for Field Salesman, Showroom Salesman posts besides collecting their biodata.
