‘Pakistan appreciates development of Bangladesh, but BNP does not see development’

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP cannot see the development of Bangladesh because it sees the darkness of night in the light of day.

He said, ‘Pakistan appreciates the development of Bangladesh, but the opposition does not see the development. They see the darkness of the night in the light of day. They are showing such low mentality about the development of the country. They should understand the reality from the statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.’

Obaidul Quader said these things at a press conference organized at the political office of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina in Dhanmondi this afternoon.

Urging the BNP leaders to learn the real truth from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Awami League General Secretary said, ‘Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is ashamed to see the progress and height of Bangladesh. At that time, East Pakistan seemed like a burden to them. Now that load has progressed a lot. He was embarrassed by the development. As much as the BNP spreads misinformation, they have a lot to learn from the real truth of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s speech.’

It is to be noted that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised Bangladesh’s economic development in a speech given at the meeting with business representatives at the Sindh Chief Minister’s residence in Karachi on Thursday.

He said, looking at the economic growth of Bangladesh now they are ashamed. At that time ‘East Pakistan’ was considered a burden to the country. But they have made amazing strides in the growth of industrialization.

The bridge minister said, ‘The whole world is standing in a terrible situation due to war and conflict. We note with concern that Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Palestine-Hamas are heating up the world. Ignoring world opinion, Israel’s prime minister has launched an aggressive campaign. In this situation, our leader Sheikh Hasina continues to play a vocal role against the war. He urged world leaders to stand against all kinds of aggression and say no to this war.
