Alastair Campbell. Nineties cricket lovers know this name very well. Campbell is considered a legend of Zimbabwean cricket.

During the time the left-handed batsman played (1992-2003), Zimbabwe was one of the most popular names in world cricket. Bangladesh would have been defeated by Zimbabwe if they had laughed at that time.

Campbell was quite popular as a batsman during the golden era of Zimbabwean cricket. Campbell has played 60 Tests and 88 ODIs for the country. He scored 2858 runs in Tests and 5185 runs in ODIs.

The last of Campbell’s 7 centuries in his ODI career was against Bangladesh. His innings in Harare in 2001 was 103 runs.

That Campbell’s son is coming to play in Bangladesh. Zimbabwe announced the squad today (Wednesday) for the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh. The biggest surprise in the team is the name of Jonathan Campbell. The 26-year-old is a leg-spinning all-rounder.

So far, Campbellputra has played 30 first-class matches, 39 List-A matches and 26 recognized T20 matches. Waiting for Abhishek’s debut in the national team.
