Dhaka: Eminent writer, speaker and organizer Nazmul Huda has been promoted as joint director of Bangladesh Bank.
On Sunday (May 21), he was promoted to the Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) through a Central Bank notification.
Nazmul Huda was born in Naoda Azampur village of Mirpur upazila of Kushtia district. After completing his higher secondary education from Kushtia Government College, he completed his higher education from Khulna University Pharmacy discipline and started his career as a trainer in a reputed pharmaceutical company.
Later he joined the Central Bank as Assistant Director. While serving, he completed 2nd Masters in Development Studies and Banking Diploma 2nd part from Dhaka University.
Also received several trainings in the country and abroad. Apart from fulfilling professional duties, he is active in writing, research and with various organizations. His number of books published so far is 10 including two editions. Writing regularly in national dailies and periodicals.
Currently, he is serving as the joint cultural secretary of Dhaka-based Kushtia district association, joint general secretary of Mirpur upazila association and publication editor of Bangladesh Bank literary organization Adhikosh.
