The police recovered the body of Md. Rabbi Hossain (19), an employee of a paper house in Tongi Bazaar Maryam Mansion Market. Rabbi Lal was recovered from the fourth floor of Parveen Akhtar’s 6-storey house behind Tongi Siraj Uddin Sarkar Vidyaniketan School and College on Friday afternoon. In this incident, the shop owners Yashin and Yakub were arrested by the police. The wound of the deceased has injury marks. Some say murder and some say suicide.
According to police sources, Rabbi has been working as a shop employee in a paper house in Tongi market for a long time. This morning, Yashin and Yakub Bedam beat up the employee on the charge of stealing money from the shop. Later in the afternoon, the police received information and recovered the body of the rabbi from the rented house. Local people say that the rabbi was killed and hanged, while others say that he committed suicide because he could not bear the accusation of theft. The deceased rabbi is the son of Noor Nabi of Mirzanagar area of Sonaimuri police station of Noakhali district. Tongi East Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Mustafizur Rahman contacted in this regard, he said that the body has been sent to Gazipur morgue for autopsy. However, a case will be filed at the police station for inciting suicide.
