Dhaka: The prices of sugar, chicken and vegetables have increased in the market during the week. Apart from this, the prices of all other products remain unchanged in the market.

On Friday (September 23) morning, these pictures came out after visiting the 11th market of Mirpur in the capital.

The price of vegetables has increased in the market. The price has increased from Tk 10 to Tk 20 per kg. Cucumber is being sold at Tk 90 per kg. A kg of long brinjal is being sold at Tk 80. Round brinjal is being sold at 90 to 100 taka per kg. Tomatoes are being sold at Tk 130. SIM is being sold at Tk 240 per kg in the market. Bitter gourd is Tk 80, rice pumpkin piece Tk 60, each piece of gourd is sold at Tk 60 to Tk 70 per kg, sweet pumpkin at Tk 50, chichinga at Tk 60, potal at Tk 60, rinds at Tk 70, kachur lathi at Tk 80, papaya at Tk 40 per kg, botatir 80 Tk per kg, 60 Tk per kg of Dhundhul.

In these markets, raw chillies are being sold at Tk 80 per kg. Besides, raw bananas are being sold at 50 taka. Lemon juice is being sold for 15 to 20 taka. 400 to 450 taka per kg of dry chillies.

Market number 11 vegetable seller. Al-Amin told BanglaNews that the price of vegetables due to low supply has increased. If the supply of vegetables in the market increases, the price will decrease again.

A kg of potato is being sold in the market for Tk 30 to Tk 40. Onion price has decreased. A kg of local onion is being sold at Tk 50 per kg. A kg of Indian onion is being sold at Tk 45. 40 to 45 taka per kg of garlic in these markets. China garlic is being sold in the market for 145 to 150 taka. A kg of ginger is being sold at 90 to 110 taka.

The price of sugar has increased. Open sugar is being sold at Tk 95 per kg in the market. Earlier, a kg of open sugar was Tk 90. Apart from this, packets of sugar per kg are being sold at 100 taka. Earlier, a packet of sugar was Rs. 95 per kg. Also, saliva sugar is being sold at Tk 105 per kg.

130 taka per kg of desi mushur dal in these markets. 100 rupees per kg of Indian Mushur dal. A kg of salt is being sold at Tk 38 to Tk 40. Edible oil is being sold in the market at Tk 195.

Eggs are being sold at the previous price in these markets. A dozen red eggs of the farm’s chickens are being sold at Tk 140 to Tk 145. A dozen duck eggs are being sold in the market for Tk 190 to Tk 210. A dozen of domestic chicken eggs is Tk 210.

Mo Ashiq, the egg seller of market number 11, said that eggs were being sold at the same price last week. Red eggs are being sold at an increase of 5 rupees per dozen in neighborhood shops. It is not possible to confirm when the price of eggs will decrease.

A kg of beef is being sold at Tk 660 to 680 in the market. Khasi meat is being sold at 900 rupees per kg.

The price of broiler chicken has increased in the market. Broiler is being sold at 170 to 180 taka per kg. A kg of golden chicken is being sold at Tk 300 to Tk 320. A kg of layer chicken is being sold at Tk 270 to Tk 280.

Rubel, a chicken seller at market number 11, said that poultry farm owners say that the price of chicken has increased due to the increase in the price of chicken feed.
Although there is production of chicken, the price is high on the pretext of food.
