On the one hand, the common people are basking in the hot sun. When the weather is hot, the middle class buys potatoes. Since a few days, Murshidabad district and all parts of the state have had an effect of excessive heat among the common people.
In the meantime, suddenly the market price of vegetables has skyrocketed to the middle class. The price of potato and onion has been increasing since a few days. The prices of ginger, garlic and chillies are increasing at the same time.
According to the vendors, Chandramukhi potatoes are selling at Tk 35 to Tk 40 per kg in the current market, and common potatoes are being sold at Tk 28 to Tk 30 per kg.
Onion is being sold at Tk 30 per kg, while ginger is being sold at Tk 200 per kg. Garlic 200 taka per kg and chili 100 taka per kg.
Apart from this, the prices of other vegetables are also on the rise. The price of brinjal is 70 taka per kg. Patal from bitter gourd is being sold at Tk 50 per kg. However, the price should be brought under control by all the buyers and sellers.
