The police have arrested three people for allegedly leaking the question papers of the ongoing SSC examination in Bhurungamari, Kurigram. They are Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School Principal and Central Secretary Lutfar Rahman, the other two assistant teachers of the school Aminur Rahman Russell and Zobair Hossain. There is a fugitive in this incident.

According to the source of the complaint, during the sorting (sorting) of the current year’s SSC examination question papers, one envelope of the Bengali second paper, English first and second paper question papers was inserted inside the packet of the Bengali first paper question of the Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls’ High School examination center.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rahman signed the sealed packet. On the exam day of Bengali first paper, the packet of Bangla first paper was brought from the police station and the envelopes of Bengali second paper, English first and second paper were removed by a trick. Although there is a rule to count the envelopes of the question papers sent as per the list given by the education board, the tag officer in charge of the center did not do so negligently.

Later, the answers of the leaked question papers were prepared and sold for 15-20 thousand rupees based on the agreement among the students of that school.

When the question leak came to the attention of the District Commissioner and Upazila Nirbahi Officer, they started a preliminary investigation. Later, the administration and the police were shaken as the question papers of the second paper of English examination were leaked.

On Tuesday (September 20), a team led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Deepak Kumar Deb Sharma, Assistant Superintendent of Police Morshedul Hasan, OC Alamgir Hossain raided Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School examination center for Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Physical Science and Chemistry on Tuesday (September 20). Retrieved the exam question paper. Examination of these subjects has not yet been held.

After confirming that the question paper was in the school principal Lutfar Rahman’s room, they raided.

The police came to know that the question papers were inserted in the examination packet of English first paper. Later in the afternoon, police brought upazila secondary education officer Abdur Rahman and head teacher Lutfar Rahman to the police station for questioning.

While the head teacher was arrested at night, the upazila secondary education officer Abdur Rahman was released. Later, English teacher Aminur Rahman Russell, contract teacher Zobair Hossain were arrested. On the other hand, the school’s assistant teachers Hamidur Rahman and Sohail Al Mamun were brought to the police station for questioning. Another accused in the question paper leak case, office assistant Abu Hanif, is absconding.

Meanwhile, because the secondary education officer Abdur Rahman was not made an accused in the question paper leak incident, there was a lot of anger in the area.

Around 9:30 pm on Tuesday night, Kurigram District Commissioner Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Superintendent of Police Al Asad Md Mahfuzul Islam, Chairman of Dinajpur Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Kamrul Islam and Upazila Executive Officer Deepak Kumar Deb Sharma held a closed door meeting in the upazila executive officer’s room for about three hours. do At the end of the meeting, he quickly left the place without speaking to the journalists who were waiting for him.

Bhurungamari police station OC Alamgir Hossain said that three people have been arrested in the question paper leak case. There is a fugitive. The case is being investigated. If anyone else is involved, they will also be brought under the law.

Assistant Superintendent of Police of Bhurungamari-Kachhakata Circle Morshedul Hasan said that Upazila Fisheries Officer and Tag Officer of Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School Examination Center Adam Malik Chowdhury filed the case.
