Three days after the murder of gold trader Biman Dhar in Chittagong, the police could not arrest anyone. There is no progress in the investigation of this incident. However, several teams of Patia Police Station are working in the field to arrest those involved in the murder, said Police Inspector (Investigation) Rashedul Islam.
Meanwhile, the leaders of the Bangladesh Jewelery Association (BAJUS) have announced that all the gold shops in Chittagong will be closed from Sunday morning to 2 pm if the killers of the gold trader Bimandar are not arrested within 72 hours. They announced this at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on Thursday.
The slain Biman Dhar Bakliar is the proprietor of New Saudia Gold Fashion, Rahattarpul, KB Aman Ali Road. He was brutally murdered by terrorists at Gairala area of Patia Upazila on Tuesday after closing his shop on his way home.
The deceased Biman Dhar is the son of Dulal Dhar of Banikpara of Dhalghat Union of Patia Upazila. Biman Dhar’s brother Dhiman Dhar filed a murder case at Patia police station last Wednesday.
According to the police, since the murder of the gold trader, efforts are being made to bring the killers to justice using information technology. Attempts are being made to find out why and for what purpose Biman Dhar was killed. Apart from information technology, detectives are trying to uncover the real mystery of the incident in various ways. Keeping a few things in mind, the murder is being investigated. Assuming the murder to be premeditated, law enforcement officials are conducting investigations.
Patia Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Rashedul Islam told Jugantar that the investigation into the murder of the gold merchant is underway. Multiple teams are on the ground to catch those involved in the murder. The miscreants did not take any money mobile or gold ornaments from him. It is assumed that it happened due to some other reason. Someone killed him in a planned way.
