Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 213 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever.

This information was informed in the Dengue statement sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Sunday (September 4).

It is said that in the last 24 hours, 213 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever. Among them, 158 people are in Dhaka and 55 people are outside Dhaka.

At present, 817 dengue patients are hospitalized across the country. Among them, 688 people are in different hospitals in Dhaka and 129 people outside Dhaka.

From January 1 to September 4 this year, the number of patients admitted to various hospitals in the country is 6 thousand 905. Among them, the number of patients admitted in Dhaka is 5 thousand 667 and outside Dhaka 1 thousand 238.

At the same time, the number of discharged patients across the country is 6 thousand 65. Among them, the number of discharged patients is 4 thousand 968 in Dhaka and 1 thousand 97 outside Dhaka. 23 people died due to dengue this year.

From January 1 to December 31 last year, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital was 28 thousand 429. At the same time, 28 thousand 265 people returned home after recovery and 105 people died due to dengue.
