The state government approached the Supreme Court against the CBI investigation in the Sandeshkhali case! The report also mentions that the Supreme Court bench of Justice BR Gavai will hear the case on April 29. It should be noted that the CBI raided Sandeshkhali again on Friday morning. According to a source in the Central Investigation Agency, the raid was launched after receiving information that a relative of Shahjahan Sheikh’s close relative had a large stockpile of weapons and bombs. Many firearms were found during the search operation. Incidentally, on the same day, the state reportedly approached the Supreme Court against the CBI probe in the Sandeshkhalik case. After the CBI took over the investigation of the Sandeshkhali incident on the orders of the Calcutta High Court, the detectives of the central agency have come there several times. Two teams of CBI came to Sandeshkhali last Saturday as well. A group went to the police station. The other group went towards Sundarikhali. On Friday morning, the CBI raided the house of Shahjahan’s close relative.

Incidentally, the Trinamool leader of Sandeshkhali, Shahjahan and his disciples, had received many complaints of land grabbing and women abuse before the police. That Shahjahan was first in CBI custody and then in ED custody after he was arrested by the police. He is currently in jail. Shahjahan’s disciples including Shibprasad Hazra alias Shibu Hazra have also been arrested. On the other hand, several cases regarding sandeshkhali are also going on in the High Court.

Recently, the court ordered the CBI to form a seat in the hearing of that case. On April 10, a division bench of Calcutta High Court Chief Justice TS Sivajnanam also ordered the launch of an email ID on Sandeshkhali. Where crimes against Sandeshkhali women and incidents of land grabbing can be reported and the identity of the victimized women can be concealed. CBI created the email ID only after the order of the court. The central agency also arranges for the promotion of the email ID through the district magistrate and notices in local newspapers. According to CBI sources, since then written complaints from Sandeshkhali have been overflowing in CBI’s mailbox. According to the sources of the Central Investigation Agency, allegations of women abuse have also been made in all the complaints received in the email. Apart from this, the people of Sandeshkhali have complained to the CBI about various issues. After that, two teams of central intelligence went to Sandeshkhali last Saturday to investigate the content of all those complaints on the spot. After investigating the allegations of torture against women there, the CBI filed a complaint of torture against women on Thursday.

After this, CBI raided Sandeshkhali on Friday morning. Investigators conducted a search operation at the house of the sister-in-law of Shahjahan-closer Hafizul Khan at Mallikpur in Sarberia of Sandeshkhali on Friday. The house surrounded by fish is about 200 meters from the main road. There is only one narrow brick road leading there. Central forces have blocked that road. According to CBI sources, a lot of weapons and bombs were recovered from the house. It is claimed that the operation was carried out as soon as information about the stockpile of weapons and bombs was received from secret sources. It is claimed that a lot of foreign guns were found by digging the soil of that house. Investigators speculate, the house may also contain the necessary documents. CBI officials are reportedly still inside the house. In the meantime, the state government has approached the Supreme Court opposing the CBI investigation in the Sandeshkhalikande, according to sources.
