Controversy has arisen over the Calcutta High Court’s decision to cancel 26,000 jobs in the SSC recruitment corruption case. The court said that the recruitment process should be started afresh in the declared vacancies. Seeing this judgment of the court, a section of lawyers think that the new recruitment process means everything from the court notification to the examination, interview and panel. However, other lawyers have a different opinion on this. According to them, if there is no dispute over the old OMR sheets recovered by the CBI or its ‘mirror copy’, the SSC can reevaluate them and recruit new ones. As a result, there is no situation to take a new exam now.

Heat wave conditions in South Bengal
