The Calcutta High Court has ordered the cancellation of about 26 thousand jobs in the SSC recruitment corruption case. The court said that recruitment should be started afresh in the announced vacancies. Seeing this judgment of the court, a section of lawyers think that the new recruitment process means everything from the court notification to the examination, interview and panel. However, other lawyers have a different opinion on this. According to them, the SSC can reevaluate the old OMR sheet or its ‘mirror copy’ recovered by the CBI and make new appointments if there is no dispute. As a result, there is no situation to take a new exam now. On the other hand, the state and SSC have approached the Supreme Court challenging the High Court’s verdict. Again, some of the unemployed have started preparations to approach the Supreme Court.

The primary hearing is in the High Court
Today the primary recruitment corruption case is being heard in Calcutta High Court. Justice Amrita Singh ordered the examination of voice samples of Sujaykrishna Bhadra, who is accused of recruitment corruption in the case. In the last hearing, he asked the ED for the voice sample report. Similarly, the ED may report the voice sample report of Sujaykrishna to the court today. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee will campaign for party candidates in two constituencies today. Alipur Meteorological Department said, heat wave will continue in all districts of South Bengal till Saturday. A severe heatwave warning has been issued in East Medinipur till Thursday. West Midnapore may experience severe heat wave on Wednesday and Thursday. Red alert has been issued in both the districts. Severe heat wave is also likely in Bankura, West Burdwan on Wednesday and Thursday. Today, heatwave is forecast for Maldah and Dinajpur in North Bengal.
