Sauvik Majumder, Atanu Halder, Kolkata : During the election, the state faced a big shock with recruitment corruption. The court announced the verdict in the much awaited SSC corruption case. School recruitment through SSC 2016 panel is completely illegal, said the court. About 26 thousand jobs were canceled by the division bench. The appointment of Group C, Group D, IX-XII is completely illegal, said the court. But the question of many people, then those who are qualified candidates, do they have no chance to get a job? According to the court’s order, the OMR sheets of the 2.3 lakh candidates who appeared for the examination will be re-evaluated. On the other hand, the High Court accepted the previous judgments given by former Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay.

Already the court order, SSC has to upload those OMR sheets of 2016. An organization will be tasked to re-evaluate the OMR sheets of those 23 lakh candidates on the tender day. That’s not Nysa. A brand new panel will be created based on their evaluation. Marks of oral examination will be added to it. Based on that, the list of eligible candidates will be prepared. Only then eligible candidates will get a chance to get the job.
High Court orders, CBI will continue investigation of recruitment corruption. They can take custody of whomever they need. The 281 page directive has 370 paragraphs. That guidance will be more thorough when it comes out.
