Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would reject any sanctions imposed on the military. News BBC.

Netanyahu made the comments in response to reports that the United States plans to cut aid by imposing sanctions on an Israeli military unit.

He said on Sunday, I will fight against it with all my strength.

Earlier, the United States media Axios news site reported in a news published by them, that the Netza Yehuda Battalion of the Israeli army will be banned for allegedly violating human rights in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

Asked about the veracity of reports that US military aid to Israel Defense Force (IDF) units accused of human rights abuses in the occupied West Bank could be cut, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said last week, “I have made a decision, you will see that in the coming days.”

Washington, known as Israel’s main ally, has never before suspended aid programs for IDF units.

The Israeli military said Netza Yehuda conducted its operations in accordance with international law.

The IDF has not yet been informed of the reports of sanctions against the battalion, Reuters quoted Israel’s military news agency as saying.

The Israeli military also said the IDF was acting in accordance with the law and would investigate any unusual incidents.
