World Cup Football, known as the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’, has started in Qatar. The opening ceremony of the World Cup was held on Sunday (November 20) with a grand ceremony.
A young man named Ghanim Al Muftah was seen conversing with famous Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman at the event. He talked to Freeman for a while, leaning on both hands. He also recited the Qur’an. Since then, the audience has been wondering who this muftah is.
Muftah is the brand ambassador of this year’s Qatar World Cup. Ghanim Al Muftah was born with ‘Caudal Regression Syndrome’. It is a rare disorder that disrupts the growth of the lower spine in humans. Doctors said that his chances of survival were very low but he managed to survive for 15 years. He is currently 20 years old. His story has amazed and inspired people around the world, becoming a prominent and exceptional example for youth and people with disabilities.
Ghanim owes much of his success to his parents. who have had an indelible influence on his positive development. By insisting that Ghanim live a normal life beyond the boundaries of his disability. Every year Ghanim takes the services of specialist doctors in Europe. He is the youngest entrepreneur in Qatar, he founded Gharisa Ice Cream. His company has 6 branches in Qatar. Where 60 workers work. His prey is the entire Gulf region
Looking to expand his business and open franchises throughout. It is Ghanim’s hope to become a future Paralympian. Despite his disability, Ghanim lists swimming, scuba diving, soccer, hiking and skateboarding as his favorite sports.
At school, Ghanim played football with his shoes on and chased the ball with his ‘normal sized’ friends. Amazingly, Ghanim climbed Jebel Shams, the highest peak in the entire Gulf region. Undaunted, he openly expressed his intention to climb Mount Everest. With over 1 million followers on Instagram, Al-Muftah aims to study political science at university with the goal of becoming Qatar’s future prime minister.
