University batch admission test is starting today
Apurba Chowdhury: [২] The ‘A’ (Science) unit admission test for the academic year 2023-24 will be held on Saturday in 24 universities belonging to the cluster. The examination will be held at 23 core centres. The exam will start from 12 noon on this day and will continue till 1 am. Later Architecture Practical (Drawing) Exam will be held from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
[৩] Those universities where the number of candidates is relatively high have arranged seats in multiple sub-centres. Out of this, six centers of Jagannath University in the capital, seven centers of Begum Rokeya University, nine centers of Comilla University and four centers of Khulna University will hold the ‘A’ unit examination.
[৪] Among the clustered universities, about 4 thousand 300 people in Jessore Science and Technology University Center, 6 thousand 442 people in Islami University Center, 8 thousand 886 people in Khulna University Center, 9 thousand 197 people in Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University Center, 10 thousand 134 people in Comilla University Center, 31 thousand 946 students in Begum Rokeya University Center and 53 thousand 815 students in Jagannath University Center have been arranged.
[৫] According to the convening committee of the batch admission test, one has to participate in the test with the admit card and other prescribed documents. No bags, mobiles or electronic devices will be allowed to enter the center.
[৬] Special precautions have already been taken at every center to prevent any untoward incident. Members of Proctoral Body, BNCC, Rover Scout and Ranger Unit will be responsible for maintaining security and order in the centres.
[৭] In the academic year 2023-24, a total of 3 lakh 5 thousand 346 students applied in three units for the admission test in 24 universities under the cluster. Among these, most applications fall in ‘A’ unit. A total of 1 lakh 70 thousand 599 students applied in this unit. Jagannath University was the top center in the list of students who wanted admission.
[৮] The convenor of the technical committee of the batch admission test and the vice-chancellor of Chandpur University of Science and Technology. Nashim Akhtar said that the examination will be held in 23 centers. We hope the exam will be completed smoothly.
[৯] Admission test for ‘B’ (Humanities) unit and ‘C’ (Commerce) unit will be held on May 3 in cluster universities.

[১১] Incidentally, Jessore University of Science and Technology (JSU) is leading the batch admission test for the academic year 2023-24. Last year, the admission test was held in batch mode for the third time in the country with the participation of 22 universities. However, Sunamganj University of Science and Technology and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Pirojpur have been newly added to the cluster system.
