According to the report, the young man went to the office and expressed his dissatisfaction due to the high bill. However, because there was no action in the matter, he committed this murder. Later, the police arrested the accused youth.
The media reported that this incident happened last Wednesday in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Indian media India Today reported that a woman technician of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) was hacked to death due to a dispute over electricity bill. According to the police, a youth of the district has committed this murder.
The woman technician who was killed is Rinku Thait. And the killer’s name is Abhijit Pot.
An officer of Pune’s Supa police station said that a young man named Abhijit attacked a woman technician in the office of the electricity department at Morgaon in Barmati village on Wednesday morning. He complained that an extra Rs 570 was added to his house’s electricity bill. But the department did not take any action on his complaint.
He suddenly went to the electricity office on Wednesday morning as no action was taken despite the complaint. Then a woman there attacked the technician. He was seriously injured. Later he was rescued and taken to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Pune Police said that the accused youth has been arrested. A murder case has been filed against him. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
