Reckless garbage truck has once again taken the life of another brilliant schoolboy. Mahin Ahmed (13) is a seventh standard student of Motijheel Ideal School. Mahin was first injured after being hit by a garbage truck in Madinabagh Bazar area last Thursday around 9 pm. Pedestrians rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Apart from this, an unidentified woman (60) was killed in a road accident in Gandaria Ghuntighar area of the capital and the body of a woman (50) was recovered from the road in Wari Swami Bagh area. Apart from this, a prison guard named Shahabuddin (35) died while undergoing treatment at DMK Hospital. It is known that Mahin is the son of Masum Mia of Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj. He lived with his family in a house in Mugda Mama Bhagina Goli area. Among the three siblings, Mahin Mezh. His elder brother Mahfuz Ahmed said that on Thursday night, Mahin was going out of the house to a friend’s house. At that time, he was hit by a garbage truck of the City Corporation in Madinabagh Bazar area. He was seriously injured. After receiving the news, he was first taken to Mugda Medical College Hospital. Seeing the deterioration of the condition, he was taken to Dhame from there. Mahin later died while undergoing treatment. In charge of Dhaka Medical Police Camp. Bachchu Mia said that the body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, an unidentified woman was killed in a road accident in Gandaria area at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A prisoner named Shahabuddin (35) died in DMK hospital. He died on Thursday at 10:30 pm while undergoing treatment. Admission was done around 10 pm that day.
