For the fourth time, the combined batch admission test of 24 general, science and technology universities is starting today, Saturday. This year’s batch examination will begin with the ‘A’ Unit (Science) examination. 13 students will fight against each seat.
According to the sources of the Batch Admission Test Committee, this year there are about 12 thousand seats in the science unit. Against which 1 lakh 64 thousand students will give the exam. The admission test will be held from 12 noon to 1 pm in 23 centers of 24 universities. Among these, half a lakh students will take the exam in Jagannath University.
According to the exam information, total four subjects for 100 marks in ‘A’ unit. It is mandatory to give physics and chemistry test. At least one exam in Mathematics and Biology must be given. But Bengali or English test can be given instead of the other. Apart from this, in Bengali and English, four subject tests have to be completed in lieu of either Mathematics or Biology. Marks 25 for each subject, total marks 100.
These subjects and manpower are arranged according to the syllabus of HSC 2023. Exam duration is one hour, 25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Apart from this, the Architecture Practical (Drawing) examination will be held on the same day from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Admission Committee has issued special instructions for Architecture Practical (Drawing) candidates.
The instructions are that every candidate should take the exam in the specific seat of the room specified in his admit card, the admit card signed by the invigilator must be carried with him during the ‘A’ unit admission test, only black pencil should be used for marking the exam. No paint or pen of any kind may be used and the drawing in the examination shall be freehand. Scales, compasses or any other means may not be used.
Incidentally, the admission test of the other two units of the cluster universities – B Unit (Humanities) will be held on May 3 (Friday) and C Unit (Commerce) admission test will be held on May 10 (Friday) from 11 am to 12 noon.
