Famous scholar and Qari Yasir bin Rashid Ad-Dawsari will lead Friday prayers in Masjid al-Haram today. He was born on 6 August 1980 in Al Kharj area of Saudi Arabia.
Yasir ad-Dawsari memorized the Qur’an at the age of 15. After that, Imam Muhammad bin Saud obtained a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Sharia at the Islamic University. Graduated from the same university with a master’s degree in comparative jurisprudence and a PhD in comparative jurisprudence.
Among his notable teachers are Shaykh Abdul Aziz Ale Shaykh, Shaykh Saleh al-Fawzan and Abdullah Ibn Jibren among others. He recited the Qur’at to several eminent jurists including Bakri al-Tarabishi and Ibrahim al-Akhdar.
Shaykh Ad-Dawsari has served as imam in several mosques in Riyadh since 1995. In 2015, he was appointed Imam of Taraweeh and Tahajjud in Masjid Haram. In 2019, he was appointed as the permanent Imam of Masjid Haram. He is considered to be the youngest imam in Masjid Haram.
Nabbi Mosque
Senior scholar and Qari Shaikh Ali Al Huzayfi will lead Friday prayers in Masjid an-Nabawi today. Ali Bin Abdur Rahman Al Huzayfi is a famous and veteran scholar and scholar. He is world famous for reciting Quran. He was born on May 22, 1947 in Saudi Arabia. His father’s name is Mohammad Abdul Huzayfi.
Shaikh Ali Al Huzayfi graduated from Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence. In 1975, he received a master’s degree in Islamic law from Al-Azhar University. He also obtained a doctorate degree from the same university.
In 1978, Sheikh Huzayfi was the Imam and Khatib of Kuba Mosque. In 1979, he became the Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque. Currently he is serving as Imam and Khatib of Masjid Nabbi.
