Masood Alam: [২] People are not going out unless necessary in the capital because of the heat wave. This effect of intense heat has also been seen in the markets. Especially the supply of vegetables in the market is low. It has increased from Tk 10 to Tk 30 per kg.

[৩] The price of golden chicken has increased along with broiler chicken. Onion, garlic, ginger and eggs are being sold at the previous prices. The price of potato has decreased by Tk 5 per kg. Such a picture was seen in the market of the capital on Friday.

[৪] On the surface, tomato is Tk 55 to Tk 60, Usta and bitter gourd Tk 70 to Tk 80, long brinjal Tk 80, cucumber Tk 50 to Tk 60, papaya Tk 50 to Tk 60, rinds Tk 80, potal Tk 70 to Tk 80, chichinga Tk 70, Dhundal is selling at Tk 70, shrimp at Tk 80, barb at Tk 80, green chillies at Tk 80 to Tk 120, lemon at Tk 40 to Tk 50 each. A kg of potato is Tk 50 to Tk 53 which was Tk 55 to Tk 60 last week.

[৫] Country onion 60 to 65 taka, China ginger 210 to 220 taka per kg, China garlic 210 to 220 taka. Eggs are being sold in dozen for Tk 125 to Tk 130.

[৬] Vegetable sellers say the heat wave has affected the supply of vegetables. Vegetables are getting wasted in farmers’ fields. The cost of vegetable production has also increased due to repeated irrigation. That is why the price of vegetables is high in the village. However, the market is relatively less buyers.

[৭] A kg of broiler is being sold at Tk 220 to Tk 250 per area. Golden chicken is Tk 350 to Tk 380 per kg which was Tk 330 to Tk 3600 last week. And even if there are no buyers, the price of beef has not decreased. Beef is being sold at Tk 780 to Tk 800 per kg. The price of beef is 1 thousand to 1 thousand 100 taka. Meanwhile, fish is being sold at the previous increased price.
