The police have sent the accused wife and her alleged lover to jail in the case of murder of her husband due to alienation in Ukhiya Rohingya camp of Cox’s Bazar. Ukhia Police Station OC Shamim Hossain confirmed the matter on Wednesday. Earlier, RAB-15 raided Shahpari Island in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar and arrested them. The accused who went to jail are Asmida Begum, a resident of Rohingya Camp No. 26 in Ukhiya and Nazir Hossain Bahadur Prakash Bahadullah of Shahpari Dwip in Sabrang Union of Teknaf. Abu Salam Chowdhury said that Asmida Begum, a wife with an estranged lover, shot her husband Salim in a pre-planned manner due to a family quarrel in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar, and the victim Salim died in Chittagong Medical Hospital the day after the incident. In this incident, the victim’s father Mir Ahmed filed a murder case at Ukhia Police Station as the plaintiff. Since the day of the incident, RAB-15 has been playing an active role in arresting the victim’s wife and her estranged lover involved in the murder. Finally RAB arrested alleged lover Nazir Hossain Bahadur Prakash Bahadullah and victim’s wife Asmida Begum from Shahpari Island area of ​​Teknaf. During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed their involvement in the murder. Shamim Hossain, OC of Ukhia police station, said that RAB handed over the Rohingya woman along with her alleged lover to Ukhia police station and sent them to court. Later the court ordered to send them to jail.
