The price of gold has been reduced again within a day. The price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold has been reduced by Tk 630 to Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 561. With this, the price of gold has decreased to 5 thousand 867 taka in three days.
Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) informed this information in a circular on Thursday (April 25). The notification also informed that this price has been reduced in view of the decrease in the price of acidic gold in the local market. The notification also informed that this new rate will be effective from 3:50 PM today.
According to the new prices, the price of 21 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 550 to Tk 1 lakh 8 thousand 450, 18 carat has been reduced by Tk 514 to Tk 92 thousand 915 and 408 has been reduced to Tk 74 thousand 801.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged despite gold prices falling. Currently, the price of 22 carat solid silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
Finally, on Wednesday (April 24), the price of gold was reduced by Tk 2099 to Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 191. Earlier on Tuesday (April 23), the price of gold was reduced by Tk 3138 to Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290. Which earlier was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka. That is, in three days, the price of gold has decreased up to 5 thousand 867 rupees.
