The body of Salim Uddin is kept on a stretcher in a corner of Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) hospital’s emergency department. The body on the stretcher has blood stains on the floor along the head. Sons Sajjad and Tauhid are standing silently next to their father’s frozen body. A little later, the elder son Arif also came with the news of his father’s death. Sajjad and Touhid’s patience broke when they saw their elder brother. The emergency department of the medical center fell silent with their cries. A little later, the atmosphere became heavy with the lamentation of Selim’s wife Rehena and little daughter.
Salim Uddin was working as a security guard at the Asian University of Women. He was working as a security guard in this university through Millennium Securities Securities.
On condition of anonymity, an official of Millennium Securities Securities said that Salim joined work at 2 pm on Thursday (April 25) as usual. He suddenly felt dizzy in the heat. He fell and hit his head. There was a worker there at that time. He died after being brought to the hospital from there.
To find out about this, the reporter of Dhaka Post wants to know the mobile number and address to talk to one of his colleagues who worked as a security guard with Salim at the Asian University of Women. However, the official refused to say that.
It is known that security guard Salim lived in Arefin Nagar area of Bayezid with his family. He has three sons and one daughter. He is the son of deceased Jamal Uddin of Konakhali Union of Chakaria Upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
Relatives who came to the medical said that Salim was brought to Chittagong Medical in an injured condition. He has a head injury. After being brought to Chittagong Medical, the doctor on duty declared him dead. It was hot at that time. He is believed to have suffered a heat stroke.
Selim’s son Sajjad said, “We were not there.” I heard that my father lost his head. There he was hit on the head. Then he fainted. His son Sajjad said that his body will be buried at the village house in Cox’s Bazar.
Meanwhile, the death certificate issued by the doctor mentioned that Salim died on the way to the hospital.
