The policemen of Baradia Naval Police outpost recovered the half-decomposed body of Alif Biswas (23) a mentally challenged youth from Naganga river near Madhavpasha village of Hamidpur union of Kalia upazila of Narail.

On Thursday, April 25, around 3:30 p.m., local people saw a body floating in the river and informed the Kalia Police Station. After receiving the news, the members of the Baradia Naval Police outpost came and recovered the body.

The deceased Alif Biswas is the son of Tanu Biswas of Perli village of Perli union of upazila.

According to family sources, last Tuesday (April 23) Alif Biswas left home around 7:30 pm. Even before this, he used to leave the house several times and return home after two or three days, so the family members started looking for their own without any complaint. Arman Biswas, elder brother of the deceased, came to Madhavpasha area on Thursday afternoon after hearing about the unidentified dead body. He said Alif is my brother he was physically challenged.

In this regard, Ahad Chowdhury, in-charge of Baradia Naval Police Outpost, said that the half-melted body was recovered from Navganga river and sent to Narail Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
