Sursa police station SHO Indresh Kumar Yadav said that Manikarnika was going to the primary health center on her scooter on Monday. She worked as a nurse in that primary health center. Manikarnika’s scooter was hit by a car on the Lakhlu-Hardoi highway. He immediately fell on the road. When he was rescued and taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
The police got to know Manikarnika’s identity by checking his mobile phone. Her husband was contacted. Yogesh rushed to the spot after getting the news. He broke into tears after hearing the news of his wife’s death.
According to family sources, he entered his house and closed the door from inside. Despite repeated calls, Yogesh was not responding.
Yogesh’s family did not understand the situation and then informed the police. The police went and broke the door and entered the house. Yogash’s hanging body was recovered from the locked room. Police found a note from the house. The note read, ‘We will live together, die together.’
Then the police sent Yogesh’s body for post-mortem. Based on the note found in the house, the police believe that Yogesh’s death was a suicide. An investigation into the incident has begun.
