Gold was making a record with one price increase after another. This time, the famous metal walked in the opposite direction for two consecutive days. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of good quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold by Tk 630 in the country’s market. Earlier yesterday, on Wednesday (April 24), the deposit decreased by 2 thousand 99 taka. After that, today again the price is lower, which is effective from 3.50 pm.
According to Bajus, from 3:50 pm today, the price of a 22 carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 560. Earlier, the price of gold of the same quality was 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 taka. Before this, the price was 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. At the same time, this price has been reduced in view of the decrease in the price of acid gold (ripe gold) in the local market.
From now on, the price of 22 carat gold per gram is Tk 9,736, the price of 21 carat gold is Tk 9,294 per gram and the price of 18 carat gold is Tk 7,966 per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional method is 6 thousand 413 taka. In the last 24 hours before fixing the current price, the price of 22 carat gold was Tk 9,790 per gram, 21 carat gold price was Tk 9,345 per gram and 18 carat gold price was Tk 8,100 per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional method was 6 thousand 448 taka. In the previous 24 hours, the price of 22 carat gold was Tk 9,970 per gram, 21 carat gold price was Tk 9,516 per gram and 18 carat gold price was Tk 8,157 per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional method is 6 thousand 566 taka. However, in the previous 48 hours, the price of 22 carat gold per gram was 10 thousand 239 taka, 21 carat gold per gram was 9 thousand 774 taka and 18 carat gold was 8 thousand 377 taka per gram. The price of traditional gold per gram is 6 thousand 788 taka.
Although the price of gold has decreased in a few steps, there is no change in the price of silver. Therefore, today as before, the price of 22 carat silver is 180 taka per gram, 21 carat silver price is 172 taka per gram and 18 carat silver price is 147 taka per gram. The cost of traditional method is Rs 110 per gram of silver.
