The price of gold in the domestic market has been reduced further. The new price has been reduced by Tk 630 for the best quality or one bar of 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold. In this, the price of good quality gold has decreased by 1 lakh 13 thousand 561 taka.

This price has been reduced in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that this price will be implemented from 3:50 PM on Thursday (April 24).

Earlier, the company reduced the price by 5 thousand rupees in two days. The price of gold of the best quality or 22 carats (11.664 grams) has been reduced by 2 thousand 99 taka and the new price has been fixed at 1 lakh 14 thousand 191 taka.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that the new price will be effective from 4:50 PM yesterday, Wednesday (April 24).

Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee meeting decided to reduce prices again. Later this information was informed in a circular signed by the chairman of the committee, Masudur Rahman.

Earlier on Tuesday, the price of 22 carat gold was reduced by 3 thousand 138 taka to 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka from that day. This time, by reducing the price, in two days, the price has decreased by 5 thousand 237 taka.

According to Bajus notification, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. Therefore, considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Jewelery Association has fixed the new price of gold, which will be effective from 4:50 PM on Wednesday.

According to the new price, the price of a 22 carat gold bar has been reduced by Tk 2 thousand 99 to Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 191. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been reduced from Tk 1,995 to Tk 1,900.

Apart from this, the price of one 18 carat gold bar has been reduced from 1 thousand 714 taka to 93 thousand 429 taka. And the price of one load of traditional gold has been reduced from 1 thousand 377 taka to 75 thousand 209 taka.

However, buyers have to pay more than this to buy gold jewellery. Because gold jewelery is sold by adding 5 percent VAT on the price fixed by Bajus. Along with that, the minimum wage per worker is 3 thousand 499 taka. As a result, buyers will have to pay Tk 1 lakh 23 thousand 400 to buy a 22 carat gold jewelery from tomorrow Thursday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the price of a 22 carat gold bar was reduced by 3 thousand 138 taka to 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been reduced by 3 thousand 9 taka to 1 lakh 10 thousand 995 taka.

Apart from this, the price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by 2 thousand 566 taka to 95 thousand 143 taka. And according to the traditional system, the price of one load of gold was reduced by 2 thousand 76 taka to 76 thousand 586 taka. Today, Wednesday, gold will be sold at this price till 4:50 PM.

The price of gold has been reduced but the price of silver has remained unchanged. The price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1 thousand 715 taka and traditional method is 1 thousand 283 taka.
