They said that three people died of heatstroke in Rajbari, Habiganj and Khulna in 24 hours. Before this, another person died in Chuadanga.

Apart from that, many people suffering from heatstroke have been brought to the hospital these days. After the treatment, a part of them managed to return home, many are under treatment.

The officials of the hospital said that workers and farmers are more sick while working during summer.

Heatstroke deaths are expected to increase.

Besides, the director of Dhaka Children’s Hospital and Institute Dr. Jahangir Alam told the news that children are more affected by pneumonia, fever, cold and cough in hot summer. More than 600 children are admitted in the children’s hospital. Among them, 100 children were admitted with pneumonia. The number of these children is increasing. All the beds in the hospital are full of children. Many others have been treated in the outpatient department.

Children should be allowed to wear light clothes in this summer. It is better not to drink too much cold water. Better to keep the kids at home. Liquid food like water, fruit juice should be fed. Narail Sadar hospital supervisor Dr. Abdul Gaffar told Sanbad over the phone that farmers and workers are more affected by heatstroke. Some of them had to go to the hospital. And now more people are coming to the hospital due to diarrhea, stomach ache, fever, cold, cough due to heat. Narail Sadar Hospital has 363 patients in place of 100 beds, all patients who come are treated. And those whose condition is not serious are being treated in the outpatient department.

Now the number of patients is more from villages to cities. Many people come to the hospital in the district town when they are infected. Due to which the pressure of the patient is also high. Patients are being admitted to vacant spaces outside hospital beds.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Associate Professor Dr. Children’s Department. Mozzamel Haque said that children are suffering from heat-related diseases such as fever, cold, cough and diarrhea. Children aged one to one and a half years and 7 to 8 years go to the hospital for more treatment. An average of more than 400 children receive treatment at the children’s department of Bangabandhu Medical University every day. There are more than 50 people admitted in it.

The expert said that children should drink a lot of water due to heat. Liquid food should be fed. It is better not to go outside during hot weather. The body should be washed with light water.

Experts say, children are at risk in extreme heat. Dizziness, excessive sweating, nausea, mild fever, nosebleeds, muscle tension, rash in diaper areas are recommended.

According to the available data, children in Bangladesh are at ‘very high risk’ due to the effects of climate change. In extreme heat, children are suffering from heat stroke, dehydration due to diarrhea. Now there is a miserable heat wave.

According to experts, if a baby or fetus shows symptoms of ‘heat stress’ or temperature-related problems, it should be moved to a cool or shaded area with adequate ventilation. Take it to a cold place and wipe the body with a wet towel or apply cold water on the body. He should drink enough water or saline.

If symptoms of heat stress (heat illness) are severe, such as unresponsiveness, fainting, high fever, increased heart rate, convulsions, and loss of consciousness, seek immediate medical attention.

On Wednesday night, it was found out at Mohakhali Diarrhea Hospital that more than 500 patients are being treated there due to heat. This number sometimes increases. Sometimes less. As of Wednesday, there is no increase in the number of patients in the city.

It is known that heat-related patients are increasing in various hospitals of the country including district, Sadar Hospital and Upazila Health Center. However, children and elderly patients are more among the affected. There are more than 600 hospitals and health centers in the country and to avoid trouble, many people are taking medicine from their homes with doctor’s advice. Still the dead are being taken to the hospital. The situation is deteriorating day by day.
