Afsana Hossain Sheela, a pregnant young mother of Maheshkhali, died due to wrong treatment by doctors and nurses at private union hospital in Cox’s Bazar. Such a complaint was received from the family.
The pregnant woman is the wife of Master Solaiman’s son Ikhtiyar Uddin Mohammad Khan of Nonachhari area of ​​Kalamarchhara Union of Maheshkhali Upazila. Although the date of possible delivery of Sheela is fixed on May 6, husband Ikhtia’s wife Sheila was taken to Dr. Neena Jihan of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for a regular check-up and she advised that Sheela’s hemoglobin has decreased, so blood should be given.

According to his advice, on April 21, maternity Sheela was taken to the private Union Hospital in the city. Sheela’s family alleged that Dr. Shahed, nurses Soma and Himu opened her uterus during delivery that night at Union Hospital. When she was taken to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, the doctors on duty there cut her uterus, Sheela’s father Mohammad Hossain of Cox’s Bazar Nuniachhara alleged. He bled profusely. He was first taken to the ICU and later on life support. Sheila died on the night of April 25 while on life support. Afsana Hossain Sheela could not be saved even with 24 bags of blood.

Now the family can’t stop crying over the newborn baby and Sheila’s dead body. The atmosphere became heavy with cries of jurisdiction.
