A woman named Fatema Begum (57) died of heat stroke in Phulbari of Kurigram.

According to family and local sources, he died while undergoing treatment at Rangpar Medical College Hospital at 11 o’clock on Wednesday (April 24). Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, the family members rushed him to Rangpar Medical College Hospital when he suddenly fell ill at his home in Gorkamandal Krishnanandabaksi village of Naodanga union of the upazila. The deceased woman is the wife of Kapoor Uddin of that ward.

The matter was confirmed by Shyamal Chandra Mandal, UP member of Gorkamandal Ward and Jaher Ali, the relative of the deceased.

UP member Shyamal Chandra Mondal confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the deceased woman was suffering from hypertension for a long time. He suffered heat stroke due to extreme heat. Later, the family members took him to Rangpar Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead on Wednesday night. He was buried in the family cemetery on Thursday morning.
