The police have arrested two accused in the murder case of Iqbal (20), a grocer in Mymensingh’s Tarakanda. The arrested are Enayet Kabir (45) son of A. Rashid Mandal and A. Rob Khokon Mandal’s son Farooq Mandal (23) of Majhiali village in Banihala Union of Upazila.

Among the accused, Enayet Kabir was arrested after organizing the murder and Farooq Mandal was arrested by the police on the night of April 25 (Wednesday).

It is known that Iqbal, a grocer, was killed on the spot by Farooq and Parvez after he got into a dispute with Ab Rob Khokon alias Khokon Army’s son Farooq Mondal and Parvez Mondal at his shop in Majhiali Bazar at around 8 pm on Tuesday (23 April). Iqbal’s father Sadekur Rahman alias Sadeq Munsi (55). Currently he is under treatment in Dhaka.

Meanwhile, after Iqbal’s murder, on Wednesday (April 24) a murder case (Case No-17) was filed against 11 people. In this regard, Tarakanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Wazed Ali said, Farooq Mandal, one of the accused in the case filed in the police station due to Iqbal’s murder, was arrested and sent to the learned court with a remand application on April 25 (Thursday).
